A New Chapter
A Way of Seeing ...
A New Chapter
A little while ago, I wrote what I believed would be my final letter here.
When I pressed publish, I meant every word. For many years, this publication was home to Eyes on the Stars before becoming Weekly Field Whispers. Week after week, I wrote through the symbolic language of astrology, exploring the rhythms that move through our lives and the quiet patterns that shape our experience.
Those years mattered deeply to me. They became the apprenticeship of my writing. Within those essays were stories from my own life, reflections born through lived experience, observations about culture, beauty, relationships and the fractures I have witnessed in the world. Looking back now, I can see they were never simply astrology reports. They were the first expressions of something much larger that I hadn’t yet found the language to describe.
When I chose to end Weekly Field Whispers, I believed I was closing this publication with it.
Sometimes we only recognise the end of a chapter after we’ve lived inside the silence that follows.
Over these past months I haven’t been searching for something new. I’ve been searching for something true. I’ve spent much of my life moving between different worlds.
Interior design. Creative direction. Sustainable development. Writing. Astrology. Symbolism. Alchemy. Private advisory. For years I tried to explain them as separate pursuits.
Now I understand they never were. They have always been different expressions of the same philosophy.
Whether I was designing a home, interpreting a birth chart, restoring an antique, writing a story, creating a retail environment, travelling through distant cultures or quietly observing the relationship between people and place, I was always asking the same questions.
What gives something meaning? Why do certain places stay with us? How do beauty, craftsmanship, memory and symbolism shape the lives we create? What is the relationship between the outer world we build and the inner world we inhabit?
The medium changed. The philosophy never did. That realisation has changed everything. You may also notice that many of the previous posts on this publication have disappeared. They haven’t been removed because they were wrong.
Quite the opposite.
They represent an important part of my journey, and many will continue to live on my website as part of that story.
But this publication is becoming something more intentional. As I looked back over years of writing, I realised much of it no longer reflected who I am today, how I think now, or the deeper understanding that has emerged through experience.
Just as we edit a book, restore a room or curate a collection, there comes a time when we gently remove what no longer belongs together, not because it lacks value, but because clarity requires discernment.
That is what I’ve been doing here. Curating. Not erasing and making space for what comes next.
This publication is now becoming A Way of Seeing.
It is no longer built around a weekly schedule. Instead, it will become a growing library of essays exploring design, symbolism, craftsmanship, beauty, culture, place and the quiet relationships that shape a meaningful life.
Some essays may arrive close together. Others may take weeks or even months. I no longer want to write because the calendar expects it. I want each piece to arrive because it has something worth saying.
Alongside these essays, I’ll also begin sharing Stories Spoken as Whispers, readings drawn from Fatima’s Alchemy.
One of the unexpected joys of publishing the book has been discovering how readers have chosen to use it. Many tell me they open it at random, holding a quiet question before allowing a story to find them.
I love that.
From time to time I’ll do the same here, sharing a story and whatever reflections quietly arise from it. Not as instruction. Not as certainty. Simply as an invitation to notice.
Looking back now, I realise very little has actually changed.
The Weekly Field Whispers belonged to a beautiful season, and I remain deeply grateful for everyone who shared that journey with me. What has changed is not the philosophy. It is the form through which it now wishes to be expressed.
For many years I wondered how to explain what I do. Today I no longer feel the need. This publication is the explanation. It is simply the place where all the threads of my work finally come together.
If you’ve walked beside me through any of those chapters, thank you. I’m grateful you’re here, and I hope you’ll continue walking with me as this next chapter unfolds.
Because I haven’t become someone different, I’ve simply recognised the common thread that has always been there.
Warmly,
Delahrose
